KHARTOUM, SUDAN: Rescue workers are seen next to a Sudanese passenger plane which crashed shortly after take-off from Khartoum airport and caught fire 02 June 2005. Five people were killed and 16 others injured in the accident. The plane, a Russian-made Anotov, was carrying 34 passengers, all of them Sudanese nationals, aviation officials said. The airliner was due to fly from the Sudanese capital to El-Obeid in central Sudan and on to El-Fasher in the troubled western region of Darfur. هبطت طائرة عسكرية سودانية اضطرارياً عصر الخميس بإحدى قرى ولاية الجزيرة وسط السودان بعد تعرضها لعطل فني، بينما تمكن طاقمها، من النجاة.
وقال المتحدث باسم القوات المسلحة أحمد خليفة الشامي فى بيان صحفي مساء الخميس إن” مروحية عسكرية كانت في طريقها الى الخرطوم هبطت اضطراريا إثر عطل فني مفاجئ عصر اليوم بمنطقة أبرق ريفي المناقل”.
وأوضح أن الطاقم تمكن من الهبوط الآمن دون حدوث أي إصابات أو ضرر بالمروحية.
وتابع “سيتم اصلاح العطل الفني وعودة المروحية الى الخرطوم بالجمعة”.
