تعرض 13 شخصا، بينهم 6 نساء، للضرب بالعصي في مقاطعة باندا آتشيه الواقعة في جزيرة سومطرة، بسبب ارتكابهم أفعالا مثل “الانفراد أو تبادل القبل”.
وتم تطبيق العقوبة على الرجال والنساء الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 21 و30 عاما، لإدانتهم بارتكاب أفعال مثل التلامس وتبادل القبل، وانفراد رجل بامرأة في مكان خاص.
وتم تأجيل معاقبة امرأة حامل تبلغ من العمر 22 عاما، لكن مساعد رئيس بلدية آتشيه زين العارفين، أكد أن العقوبة ستطبق بعد أن تلد طفلها.
يذكر أن مقاطعة آتشيه هي الوحيدة في إندونيسيا، التي “تطبق الشريعة”، معاقبة لأفعال مثل شرب الخمر والعلاقات خارج الزواج والمثلية، حسب ما ذكرت وكالة فرانس برس.
وكانت آتشيه قد بدأت بتطبيق الشريعة الإسلامية بعد حصولها على الحكم الذاتي الخاص عام 2001، إثر تمرد انفصالي، وتم التشدد في تطبيق الشريعة بعد توقيع اتفاق سلام مع حكومة جاكرتا في 2005
