قالت قناة الاخبارية السعودية على حسابها عبر تويتر إنه تم فقدان طائرة مروحية تقل عدداً من المسؤولين في منطقة عسير.
وأعلن التلفزيون السعودي وفاة منصور بن مقرن نائب أمير عسير في حادثة تحطم طائرة.
وأعلنت اجهات الأمنية السعودية عن تكثيف مجهوداتها للبحث عن حطام الطائرة التي كانت تقل نائب أمير عسير ومرافقيه.
وأكد الأمير سطام بن خالد آل سعود وفاة جميع من كان على متن الطائرة بتغريدة على موقع تويتر جاء فيها: «إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون اللهم اغفر لعبدك منصور بن مقرن وجميع من على متن الطائرة معه. لاحول ولا قوة إلا بالله» .
ووقع الحادث أثناء عودة الأمير منصور ومرافقيه من جولة عمل روتينية زاروا خلالها محافظة البرك الواقعة ضمن منطقة عسير.
